What TV Shows Do You Binge-Watch?

poltergeist

For many people, Thanksgiving isn’t not only a time to have a big turkey dinner with family, it’s also a time to watch all your favorite shows at once.  So today, I thought I’d ask what’s your favorite TV series to binge-watch?

There are plenty of shows I could say, but I think I’d probably say Fawlty Towers.  There are only twelve episodes, yet it’s richer and funnier than any other sitcom.  And as much as I love Monty Python’s Flying Circus, I prefer Fawlty Towers.  Another good one would be Mystery Science Theater 3000, which had its special Turkey Day marathon on Thursday, the first since the late 90s.  I had some time to watch a bit and enjoyed seeing I Accuse My Parents again.

But how about you?

  1. Definitely MST3K, Firefly, Rocko’s Modern Life, Animaniacs, Fraggle Rock, or even some passive viewing of MLP: FiM if I’m in the mood. There’s just so much to choose. And with regard to I Accuse My Parents, I won the essay contest.

    • Great picks! Can’t go wrong with MST3K.

  2. All of Them!

    • There are days when I feel like just watching anything on TV. Thanks for the comment.

      • Haha there are few shows I don’t watch, unless their rubbish 😀

  3. Firefly for me.

    • Nice pick. Firefly’s a great series, was canceled too soon.

  4. Shoot, I can’t do too much binge-watching these days, far too much of a timesink. But I’ve binge-watched quite a few shows in my time, including House, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and countless anime series. The ones I’ve probably returned to the most for multiple binge-sessions would probably be Naruto and Scrubs, however.

    • I ended up watching a lot of Avatar when it went on Netflix and was surprised how good it was. Nice picks!

  5. I just recently plowed through the third season of Boardwalk Empire. That shit is just too damn good to watch slowly.

    • Boardwalk’s definitely one to quickly watch. Great show.

  6. Fawlty Towers is simply amazing.

To be honest? Supernatural. I go back to it time and time again and it never gets old. Up until season five, that is. No further. But when I start that, it cannot end until I have it all up to the end of season five…

    • Fawlty Towers is amazing. Last year I spent a whole two days watching every episode.

      • 🙂 Two days well spent!

  7. In general I don’t follow TV shows, so if I watch one I will just watch all of them the moment I have time. So that usually means two episodes a day during my commute. Currently don’t have one. But I did watch The Sopranos, 24 and Lost like that (but during that time I still watched them at home)

    • The Sopranos is a series I could watch all the time. I’ve always been on the edge with Lost. I like the first few seasons, but the show kept on asking too many questions with little pay-off.

  8. I binge watched The Wire and The West Wing, they were fantastic. And I’m getting into Breaking Bad now and can feel that going the same way!

    • The Wire and West Wing are shows that are incredibly addictive. Breaking Bad is as well and it grows even better each season.

  9. Fawlty Towers sounds like a fun one to binge on. I think I’ve binged on some episodes of Frasier, IT Crowd and The Vicars of Dibley, gotta love great comedies! 😀

    • Fawlty Towers is a fantastic show to binge watch. It’s even better than Monty Python, which is saying something.

Frasier’s a great pick. I remember watching about half of season 1 one day.

  10. Oh man, good call with Fawlty Towers. Wish this one went on a bit more, but like you said, it’s 12 fantastic epi’s to watch again and again! :D.

My show of choice, at the binge-viewing level anyway, is Family Guy. Though I watch that because it’s so mindless. A show I’m really quite dedicated to is Breaking Bad. But then again, who isn’t? 😛

    • Breaking Bad and Fawlty Towers are shows I could really watch any day. In the past few months, I spent a ton of time rewatching BB and it really lives up to a second viewing.

  11. My friends think I’m crazy but I binge-watch Grey’s Anatomy. You know, get the depression over in one shot..haha! But I can’t think of anything I’m not binge-watching these days, since I stream everything. Been binge-watching Once Upon a Time…almost caught up 🙂
