Robert De Niro To Replace James Gandolfini in Criminal Justice

627-3

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a few months since James Gandolfini’s tragic death.  The actor, most famous for his role as Tony on The Sopranos, was set to star on HBO’s limited TV series Criminal Justice.  Who could possibly fill the shoes of Gandolfini?

HBO has found perhaps the only man who could do the job: Robert De Niro.  The actor, in his first regular TV role, will take Gandolfini’s character as a lawyer defending a Pakistani man.  For those who didn’t know, there is no other actor I have more respect than Robert De Niro and I think HBO has made the right decision.  While De Niro hasn’t done much work as of late worthy of his status, I feel that he can give a great performance.  But what do you think?
