Trailer Analysis: Her

I’m a big fan of director Spike Jonze, who in my opinion is one of cinema’s best contemporary directors.  His surrealistic touch along with his dry wit and humor make his films a delight for myself.  Her, the director’s newest movie, looks like another great movie in the Jonze filmography.

Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Rooney Mara (the first two both were in Paul Thomas Anderson’s  The Master), Her is the story of a lonely man who develops a friendship with a computer.  It’s a story that looks fascinating under Jonze’s hands and it surely is one of my most anticipated of the year.  Search for Her on November 20th.

  1. I agree about Spike. ‘Being John Malkovich’ is brilliant. I wonder if he and spouse Sophia C. have done anything collaboratively? What talent!
Regarding ‘Her’ I will keep my eyes open. What a great cast: Phoenix, Adams, and Mara!

    • It has a great cast for sure. I’m always looking forward to anything Spike Jonze is doing.
