Trailer Analysis: Breaking Bad Final Season Teaser

Breaking Bad is the finest TV show on right now, and I’m extremely excited for the final episodes.  The teaser, which offers Bryan Cranston reading Percy Bysshe Shelley’s “Ozymandias,” might sound kind of bland, and it doesn’t show any footage of what the new season will offer, but it’s incredibly effective.  The poem openly warns about the fall of kingdoms, and seeing how the last image is Walter White’s hat lying in the New Mexico desert, well, the metaphor is pretty obvious.  Listening to the teaser also makes me wish Bryan Cranston would narrate everything.

The final season starts airing on Sunday, August 11th.
