What is the best decade of film?

For today’s question, I decided to look back at some Best of the Decade lists.  With this, I came up with the question “What’s the Best Decade of Film?”

Apocalypse Now is one of the many examples why the 70s was the best decade for film

My answer would be the 70s.  We’ve gotten so many fantastic movies from the decade, like Apocalypse Now (pictured), The Godfather Parts I and IITaxi Driver, Jaws, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s NestNetworkStar WarsChinatownThe ConversationAll the President’s MenA Clockwork Orange, and hundreds of other greats.

But what’s your favorite decade for film?

  1. I Would Put It Like This….
…My Favorite Decade For Film Was The ’80s…
    …BUT…
…The Best Decade For Film Was The ’70s.

You Just Knew I’d Have To Answer That Way, Didn’t You!?! hehehe

    • I’d say the 70s gave some of my favorite films as well as the best but the 80s aren’t that far behind. I knew you were going to say that! 🙂

  2. 70s was at the very least the most groundbreaking decade in film. It totally change what movie could be and how the movie industry was run

    • So true.

  3. I would have to go with the 70’s as well, so many amazing films were released.

    • Yeah, the 70s gave us many of the best and most iconic films ever. I’m glad you agree.

  4. Bit difficult for me as I was born in the 90’s, so I don’t have many to experience. But I like the 80’s flicks 😀

    • The 80s gave a lot of movies I love and still watch today too! 🙂

  5. I wouldn’t argue against the 70s at all, but it would be tough for me to decide between that and the 30s.

    • The 30s gave us a lot of classics too. Thanks for commenting.
