The Three Stooges: Trailer Analysis

I’ve been a Stoogeamaniac my entire life.  So I had some mixed thoughts on The Three Stooges trailer.  The movie, which comes out in 2012, relies on much of the same slapstick of the classic comedy series, but puts in in this millennium (such as jokes about iPhones).

I don’t like it when greedy producers try to reboot something that was good from the start, and ruin it (my classic thoughts on the Scooby-Doo series were nearly ruined by the movie), but the Peter and Bobby Farelly, the directors of the film, seem confident.  And Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, and Will Sasso make good Stooges, while Larry David’s appearance as Nun Mary Mengale.

I have high hopes for the film, which revolves around the Stooges solving a murder mystery.  But kudos for Moe poking Snookie’s eyes.

  1. It should be good, but something tells me it won’t be at all. Either way, i’ll be seeing this in theaters.

    Nice blog!

  2. Love the idea of Larry David in Three Stooges, two very different types of humor!
