Scientologists Investigating South Park duo

Ever since the South Park episode “Trapped in the Closet”, which parodied Scientologists and Tom Cruise, the Church of Scientology has been trying to find private information on Matt Stone and Trey Parker.  Ex-Scientologist Marty Rathbun had released documents on the Church’s investigations.  Rathbun told The Village Voice that the Church of Scientology was looking for “”Phone records. Bank records. Personal letters that expose some kind of vulnerability. They’ll read stuff into the kind of alcohol you’re drinking and how much. Prescriptions. They’ll figure out your diet. They can find out a lot about you through your trash.”

When I heard this, well, I was pretty annoyed.

First off, Scientologists, is that South Park parodied you back in 2005.  That was six years ago.  Get over it.

Also, isn’t what you’re doing illegal?  Is there a law stating that religious figures cannot try to take people’s private records?  No.

Scientologists, South Park makes fun of everyone.  They’ve mocked Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and pretty much every other religion.  That’s what made the show so great, it has something to comment on practically everything.  If you don’t like how you depicted, you don’t try to publically embarrass them.  You’re just doing that to yourselves.
