Creative Emmy Winners: Boardwalk Empire and Gwyneth Paltrow Big Winners

The Creative Emmy winners were announced last night, and there were a few surprises.  For one thing, Futurama surprisingly beat both The Simpsons and South Park, (but thank God it did not go to The Cleveland Show).

Gwyneth Paltrow won for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, unsurprisingly, for Glee (though that was more of a populist choice), and Justin Timberlake took an award for his recent gig in Saturday Night Live.

For drama, Loretta Devine won for Grey’s Anatomy and Paul McCrane won for Harry’s Law, proving that networks must have taken control of the votes.

The big winner of the night, though, was Boardwalk Empire, which took the most wins for the night.  HBO garnered 15 awards, followed by PBS (10) and Fox (9).

The Creative Emmys will be shown on TV on Saturday 17 on the Reelz Channel.
